Successive generations of villagers are buried in the cemetery next to the church. The tomb of the Dornois family dominates the graveyard. In 1915, the mayor of the village, a Dornois, had the misfortune of losing his beloved wife. To perpetuate her memory, he ordered that her coffin be filled annually with Calvados brandy (applejack), another regional specialty. In his will he provided for a yearly supply of brandy.
